Ode to The Granny Square

In the realm of crochet patterns fine
There lies a square -  ancient, divine,
Oh, Granny, thou simple crochet Square,
Hooked in love, with skill and care.

From vibrant bags to cozy throws,
O'er shoulders and chairs, in  artful repose,
Your humble form brings gentle flair,
Crafted with, the maker’s care.

Oh, Square, in every hue you sing,
Combining shades - breathtaking,
With every loop dear makers hold
A masterpiece, of woven gold.

In every season’s harshest grasp,
You hold dear souls with gentle clasp
Friendships forged by hook and thread,
As endless tales, o’er years are bred.

In Thy Cozy makers meet,
In Faith, Oh God, their works complete,
Upon the squares they weave their arts,
To honor Thee, and treasured hearts.

In squares, Your Love stands strong and fine,
Each part of generations' line,
Traditions and hands, in stitches cast,
A cherished link, to grannies past

Unto the world, dear God, you yield
A tapestry of memories concealed,
To honor, celebrate esteem,
The fabric of our lives, in color scheme.

Rejoice! Oh God, we sing Thy name
May all who craft, Thy Love proclaim,
For, with Thee, our souls remain
Looped in Love, yet unexplained.

For all the love and people you put In Knit - and Crochet too!
