Making Mindfully
Simplicity does not mean a lack of depth. On the contrary, simplicity distills complexity into elegant forms that are easier to appreciate and engage others with. Choosing a quiet walk in nature over a bustling crowd, opting to cook a home meal rather than ordering takeout, or selecting a timeless garment instead of a trend-driven one, can all represent profound layers of value. These mindful choices often equate to savory moments of tranquility, sustainable living, and deeper connections with loved ones. In finding daily moments of simplicity in the chaos, we unearth meaningful experiences that enrich our lives and ultimately help us navigate the intensity of the world around us with grace.
Often, the simplest choices turn out to be the wisest and most valuable as well.
Emily Spivak, in her book: Worn Stories, gives voice to those items in our wardrobe that are so deeply entwined in the fabric of our story, we would feel bereft if we ever lost them. If you own something of simple, impeccable quality that you treasure —a vintage, hand-knit sweater, for example, made for my mother decades ago by my aunt, that grows more beautiful and meaningful as the years go by - holding on to it becomes important - even precious.
At In Knit, we relish the deep satisfaction of knowing our knitwear designs will become timeless treasures passed down through generations. Our greatest aim, therefore, lies not in fleeting choices that are designed to dazzle and fade, but in intentional choices that are designed for simplicity and enduring value.
Our mission:
Timeless knitwear designs you’ll love to make, want to wear, and treasure forever.
Using premium organic and natural materials with attention to just the right amount of detail, we aim for sustainable knitwear designs that will elevate our lives and the lives of those we love.
Our hope is that these designs become treasured parts of your own story.
May we make what we love for ourselves and those we love,
May we help others along the way,
And may we treasure the stories for as long as possible.
“For all the love and people you put In Knit”
