I don’t know if it’s the spring crocus and daffodils beginning to pop, the lightly crisp air with a hint of sweetness or the luminous soft quality of these early spring mornings. It happens every year about this time. I wake up one day (yesterday!) suddenly feeling the need for renewal...and freshness - the need to fling open the windows and let early spring tumble in and waft around all the stuffy, lethargic corners in my house. That’s the day I know that everything will be put on hold for a week while linens are washed in lavender scent and winter cobwebs give way to fresh floors, counter tops, closets, walls and windows. And that’s the day I serve herb-roasted chicken with a crisp, leafy-green french market salad for dinner - the very harbinger of spring freshness.
How fitting in this beautiful season of Lent as we “spring clean" and reawaken our souls to the renewing love of Jesus Christ and point ourselves toward an inspiring future - toward creating, making beautiful knitted things and helping others through In Knit For Love which I'll begin launching next week - right after I make it through cataract surgery on my 2nd eye today! I'm looking forward to the clarity of vision and of purpose. I'm grateful for all of you in this glorious spring season.
"For all the love and people you put In Knit"
